HARRISON, N.J. (AP) - Thierry Henry scored his MLS-leading ninth goal in the seventh minute, then went down with a hamstring injury in the New York Red Bulls' 1-0 victory over the New England Revolution on Saturday.
Red Bulls coach Hans Backe estimated Henry will be sidelined a month. In the 22nd minute, the French star attempted to streak toward goal, but stopped short and grabbed his right hamstring as he slid along the turf.
Ryan Meara made a diving stop on Lee Nguyen's added-time blast to help the Red Bulls improve to 4-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 at home. The rookie goalkeeper finished with five saves for his first MLS shutout.
New England (2-5) was shut out for the fourth time this season.
REAL SALT LAKE 3, TORONTO FC 2
SANDY, Utah (AP) - Jonny Steele scored in the 93rd minute to lift Real Salt Lake past Toronto FC, the Canadian club's record-tying seventh straight loss at the start of the season.
Toronto matched the season-opening mark of seven losses set by Kansas City in 1999.
Kyle Beckerman also scored for Salt Lake (6-3-1), which took a 2-1 lead in the 57th minute on Richard Eckersley's own goal. Eric Avila and Doneil Henry scored for Toronto.
GALAXY 1, FC DALLAS 1, TIE
CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Pat Noonan scored late in stoppage time to give Los Angeles a tie with FC Dallas.
Noonan, who entered as a substitute, scored his first goal for the Galaxy (3-3-1). It came following a failed clearance with seconds remaining in the game.
Brek Shea opened the scoring for Dallas (3-3-3), converting a penalty shot in the 61st minute.
Robbie Keane failed on his own penalty attempt in the 47th minute for the Galaxy. The Irish striker stepped up in place of Landon Donovan and missed badly to the right.
Galaxy goalkeeper Bill Gaudette made his first MLS start in 5 1/2 years. Starter Josh Saunders missed the game to attend to personal matters.
SOUNDERS 2, FIRE 1
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) - Michael Gspurning extended his shutout streak to 337 minutes before allowing a late goal, and David Estrada and Eddie Johnson scored in Seattle's victory over Chicago.
Seattle improved to 4-1-1 with its sixth straight victory on the road going back to last season. The road winning streak is one off the MLS record held by Los Angeles and D.C. United. Chicago dropped to 2-2-2.
Estrada opened the scoring in the 39th minute, and Johnson made it 2-0 in the 67th. Chicago's Marco Pappa scored in the 89th minute, curling a corner kick in off the left post to end Gspurning's shutout streak.
D.C. UNITED 3, DYNAMO 2
WASHINGTON (AP) - Maicon Santos scored twice and D.C. United won consecutive MLS games for the first time since June 2009, beating Houston.
Dwayne De Rosario also scored for United (4-2-3). The Washington club is 4-0-3 in its last seven games.
Will Bruin scored twice for the Dynamo (2-2-2). Houston has one more match left on its season-opening, seven-game trip before facing D.C. in the new BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12.
IMPACT 2, TIMBERS 0
MONTREAL (AP) - Bernardo Corradi and Sinisa Ubiparipovic scored in the second half to help Montreal improve to 2-5-2 and remain undefeated in three games at Olympic Stadium.
Corradi opened the scoring in the 76th minute on a penalty kick after Collen Warner's shot struck a Portland player's arm in the 18-yard box. Ubiparipovic scored in the 84th minute from close range.
Portland fell to 2-5-1. Timbers goalkeeper Troy Perkins left after he was kicked in the face by Montreal's Sanna Nyassi when he slid out to block a ball in the 63rd minute. Perkins' nose was cut and bloodied, and Nyassi received a yellow card.
EARTHQUAKES 2, UNION 1
CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Steven Lenhart scored his second goal of the game on a header in the final seconds of stoppage time to lift San Jose past Philadelphia.
The second-half substitute also scored in the 76th minute to help San Jose improve to 6-1-1 and 3-0-1 on the road. The Western Conference-leading Earthquakes are 5-0-1 in their last six games.
Gabriel Gomez scored in the 83rd minute for Philadelphia (2-4-1).
WHITECAPS 1, CREW 0
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Lee Young-Pyo scored off a free kick in the 74th minute and Vancouver beat Columbus for its sixth shutout of the season.
The Whitecaps (4-2-2) had few chances from the run of play, but took advantage of a restart on the lone goal. Young-Pyo lofted the shot from 24 yards over goalkeeper Andy Gruenebaum's outstretched hands.
Columbus (2-4-1) is winless in four games.
RAPIDS 4, CHIVAS 0
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) - Matt Pickens had his third shutout of the season to tie the Colorado record of 25, and the Rapids beat Chivas USA to snap a three-game losing streak.
Pickens matched Joe Cannon's franchise record for shutouts and pushed his overall MLS total to 36.
Kamani Hill had two goals, and Tony Cascio and Jeff Larentowicz also scored for Colorado (4-4-0).
Chivas dropped to 3-5-0.
