Lincoln baseball wins pair against Missouri Southern

The Lincoln baseball team secured its first split of a season series this year after the Blue Tigers split a doubleheader Saturday at Lincoln Field with Missouri Southern.

After dropping the first game 9-2, the Blue Tigers rallied to capture an 8-1 win in the their final home game of the season.

Combined with a split Friday against Missouri Southern, the Blue Tigers are now 7-37 overall and 7-28 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Lions are now 28-18 and 19-17.

Lincoln honored its four seniors - Chris Pfau, Kyle Henke, Taylor Klugman and Cody Plassmeyer - between the games.

The Blue Tigers also split a doubleheader with the Lions on Friday, lossing 9-1 and winning 10-9.
