Lady Crusaders ready for more competition

A little competition can go a long way. It’s led the Helias Lady Crusaders to a successful start to the soccer season.
“The girls are competitive with each other in practice and that makes them better,” Helias coach Chuck Register said. “Then they take that competitiveness into games. They’re in competition every day.”
That competition will continue tonight and Saturday as the Lady Crusaders will play three games in the Capital City Invitational at 179 Soccer Park.
Helias (9-2, ranked No. 5 in Class 2 by the Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association) brings a seven-game winning streak into today’s 7 p.m. contest against Rosati-Kain. The last five of those ....
