Lady Crusaders locked in defensive struggle

The Helias Lady Crusaders and Rosati-Kain Kougars entered the Capital City Invitational with seven shutouts each.
So the fact Friday night’s matchup between the two was a defensive struggle wasn’t exactly a shock.
“They had a very good defense,” Helias coach Chuck Register said after the Lady Crusaders and Kougars played to a scoreless tie at 179 Soccer Park.

Also Friday at the Invitational: Springfield Catholic, the two-time defending Class 1 state champion, defeated Moberly 4-1.
