KC man pleads sentenced in trail attacks

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A 24-year-old Kansas City man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for attacking two women along a Kansas City walking trail.

The Kansas City Star (http://bit.ly/HyJVqA) reported that a Jackson County judge ordered the sentence Friday for James D. Kemp. He admitted in February that he sodomized and kidnapped a woman in June and kidnapped and robbed a second woman a month later. He also pleaded guilty to four counts of armed criminal action.

About a week after the second attack, he was arrested. Investigators said DNA and fingerprints linked him to the assaults.
