Jefferson City hosts Capital City Relays

A quick glance at the calendar shows the track season is coming down the home stretch, with the district meet less than a month away.

For Jefferson City, it simply means it’s time to see where it measures up to the teams it will see in the final weeks of the season. To that end, Jefferson City hosts the Capital City Relays beginning at 11 a.m. today at Adkins Stadium.

“This is really the only time when us, Hickman and Rock Bridge are at the same meet,” Jefferson City head coach Dan Ridgeway said. “So it’s good to look at the district and kind of see where we are, (how we) stack up and things like that.”

The Jays host 11 other schools in today’s event, including Helias.
