Franks ties for top spot

HARTSBURG — Kory Franks of Blair Oaks tied for medalist honors Wednesday at the Fifth Annual Southern Boone Classic at Eagle Knoll Golf Club.

Franks shot a 73 to tie David Abolt of Cuba for top honors. The duo finished eight shots ahead of the third-place trio of Dusty Angerer of Fatima, Blake Lammers of Southern Boone and Glenn Ripsch of Fulton.
