Locals shine at Versailles Invitational
Double-winners include Borghardt, Ellis, Humphrey and Hill

VERSAILLES, Mo. — Several area track and field teams took part in the Versailles Invitational on Friday.
In the boys event, two area competitors were double-winners. California’s Walker Borghardt won the triple jump (40- 1/2) and 100-meter dash (11.68) and Eldon’s James Ellis took first in the 110-meter hurdles (15.98) and 300-meter hurdles (43.93).
On the girls side, there were two double-winners. Eldon’s Megan Humphrey won the 100-meter hurdles (17.10) and 300-meter hurdles (50.64) and Russellville’s Miranda Hill won the 1,600-meter run (5:50.45) and 3,200-meter run (12:38.69).
No team scores were kept in the Invitational.
