Lincoln women take first at CMU

FAYETTE, Mo. — The Lincoln women ran away with the title Friday at the Central Methodist Invitational, while the men’s team posted a third-place finish.

On the women’s side, the Blue Tigers racked up 184.5 points to easily outdistance the host school, which was second with 106.5.

The Blue Tigers won seven individual events and two relay races during the commanding effort.

On the men’s side, William Woods won the title with 115 points, Central Methodist was second, just one point behind, and Lincoln was third with 70.

The Blue Tigers had one individual title and Lincoln also won the 4x100-meter relay (41.59).
