With a 1-5 record, the start to the season hasn't gone anything like Jays' coach Brian Ash - or his players - had envisioned it.
And as Jefferson City limps into this weekend's Capital City Invitational, that tough start has left the team with something to prove to themselves, and anyone else watching.
"We're excited to bounce back, hopefully prove to everybody and ourselves that we're a good team," Ash said as the Jays prepare to host Rockwood Summit at 2:30 p.m. today at Vivion Field. "We've just got to find our way."
