Lincoln University's Dance Troupe wants you to go on a journey with them. "The Journey" is the theme for the 36th annual spring dance recital.

Theressa Ferguson, director of the group, said this year the 13 dancers will present three performances in the show, which will feature a tribute to Whitney Houston, African dances and more.

"We will take a journey and the audience will got on the journey with us," Ferguson said.

The journey will take the audience and dancers from place to place, sometimes across continents. The tribute to Whitney Houston will take place in her home state of New Jersey, and from there they will head to Africa on a plane.

The recital is free and open to the public.

Shows are at 8:15 p.m. April 13 and 14 and at 2:15 p.m. on April 15. Performances will be in Mitchell Auditorium.
