Luetkemeyer promises support for MS budget needs

Chris Lepper of Holts Summit has multiple sclerosis. Though currently in remission, the disease has made her more active in efforts to get funding for research and public education.

“I’m a volunteer (and) serve on the (statewide) public policy committee,” she told reporters Monday afternoon — after meeting with U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-St. Elizabeth, for about 45 minutes.

Five representatives of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Greater St. Louis Area chapter urged Luetkemeyer to support three bills in their legislative package.
