Chris Lepper of Holts Summit has multiple sclerosis. Though currently in remission, the disease has made her more active in efforts to get funding for research and public education.
"I'm a volunteer (and) serve on the (statewide) public policy committee," she told reporters Monday afternoon - after meeting with U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-St. Elizabeth, for about 45 minutes.
Five representatives of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Greater St. Louis Area chapter urged Luetkemeyer to support three bills in their legislative package.
