Man gets 6-year term for prostituting 16-year-old

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to six years in prison for involving a 16-year-old girl in prostitution.

A federal judge in St. Louis on Friday issued the sentence for 25-year-old Maurice Alexander. A second person convicted in the crime, 25-year-old Latoshia Norris, also of Minneapolis, faces sentencing later this month. Both pleaded guilty in June to one felony count of enticement to engage in prostitution.

Federal prosecutors say Alexander and Norris took the girl to various cities for prostitution. The girl eventually moved to St. Louis.
