Husband of missing woman charged with threats

CAPE GIRARDEAU (AP) - A southeast Missouri man who's a suspect in his wife's disappearance is facing federal charges of making Internet threats against his sister-in-law.

Federal prosecutors say Clay Waller was charged Friday. His wife's sister, who has custody of couple's children, told The Southeast Missourian Waller had threatened her life if any harm came to his children.

Prosecutors have called Waller a suspect in the disappearance of his estranged wife, Jacque Waller, who hasn't been seen since June 1. He denies any involvement and no charges have been filed.

She was last seen near her husband's home in Jackson and her abandoned car was found along Interstate 55 with a flat tire. The couple was in the midst of a divorce when she disappeared.
