Your Opinion: Observant hunters help solve cases

Dear Editor:

Please hunters: help search.

Deer season will soon be open. Hunters, as you head to your favorite spot, be aware of your surroundings. Do you see anything unusual? Abandoned clothing might be covering bones, human bones. We, the people of Missouri Missing, need your help.

There are nearly 1,200 unsolved cases of missing people in our state. Observant people, going about their outdoor activities, have found clues that helped to solve local cases.

For examples, mushroom hunters found the remains of Milissa Corn in Callaway County. A dog walker found the remains of Brandi Mathews in Miller County. And a deer hunter found the remains of Kinga Gillabrand in Maries County.

Just think of how much help hunters could be. You cover so much more ground than we as individuals can search.

Thank you.
