SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Something had to give. St. Elizabeth had not lost to a Class 1 opponent all season. Norborne hadn’t lost, period.

Erin Struemph changed all that with 18 strikeouts as St. Elizabeth (22-5) defeated Norborne (25-1) 8-0 in a Class 1 state semifinal Friday at the Killian Sports Complex.
