PSC to hear Missouri-American Water rate case

Jefferson City is the next-to-last stop in the Missouri Public Service Commission's 11 local public hearings in the water and sewer rate cases filed by the Missouri-American Water Co.

The Jefferson City hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12, 2012, in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building, 200 Madison St. As with all the scheduled public hearings, the Jefferson City session will continue until all who wish to testify have done so.

The company has claimed its request would raise Jefferson City area customers' bills by approximately $4.16 per month for an average residential customer using 4,000 gallons of water per month to about $31.50.
