Woman dies in house fire in central Mo.

HARTSBURG, Mo. (AP) — Boone County fire officials say a woman died in a house fire.

The Columbia Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/o67Jnt) that the fire was reported Monday morning in a home east of Hartsburg.

Capt. Roger Mertensmeyer of the Southern Boone County Fire Protection District said the victim was found in the living room.

A passerby reported the fire. Damage was reported to the front of the house and the roof collapsed.

The cause of the fire in under investigation.
