Whitehead learns statewide issues to help make local decisions

Education is so important to Doug Whitehead these days that he’s serving on two education-related boards.

Whitehead now is in his fourth three-year term on Jefferson City’s school board — and he’s in his first two-year term on the Missouri School Boards Association’s board of directors.

“That is a big job — bigger than I thought,” he said of the new MSBA work, which included his first statewide conference at the Lake of the Ozarks this past weekend.
