COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jared Sullinger had 27 points and 13 rebounds, and No. 3 Ohio State roared to a big first-half lead to beat North Florida 85-50 on Monday night.
Deshaun Thomas added 16 points and William Buford 13 for the Buckeyes (4-0), who ran their home winning streak to 26 in a row. Lenzelle Smith Jr. added seven points, five rebounds and set career bests with three steals and five assists.
Parker Smith had 10 points for North Florida (1-4), which has lost on the road to heavyweights Alabama, Florida, Miami and the Buckeyes. The Ospreys dropped to 0-11 against ranked teams.
No. 6 Duke 77, Tennessee 67
LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) - Austin Rivers scored 18 points, Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly had 17 each, and No. 6 Duke pulled away in the second half to beat Tennessee in the first round of the Maui Invitational.
Duke (5-0) improved to 13-0 all-time in Maui, allowing Tennessee to stay close well into the second half before wearing the young Volunteers down with its deep and versatile lineup.
Mason Plumlee had 13 rebounds and Andre Dawkins added 10 points for the Blue Devils, who move on to Tuesday's semifinals against No. 15 Michigan, which knocked off No. 8 Memphis.
Tennessee (2-1) is in rebuilding mode after coach Bruce Pearl was fired in March when he admitted to lying to NCAA investigators.
Jeronne Maymon led Tennessee with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
No. 15 Michigan 73, No. 8 Memphis 61
LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) - Tim Hardaway Jr. had 21 points, Trey Burke added 14 and No. 15 Michigan knocked off No. 8 Memphis in the opening round of the Maui Invitational.
Back in Maui for the first time since 1998, Michigan (4-0) looked right at home in paradise, using its ability to penetrate to shoot 54 percent while hounding the Tigers with a variety of defenses.
Memphis (1-1) backed up an easy season-opening win with a shaky performance against the experienced Wolverines.
Charles Carmouche led Memphis with 14 points.
No. 10 Florida 78, Wright St. 65
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Freshman Bradley Beal scored a career-high 22 points, leading 10th-ranked Florida over Wright State.
Kenny Boynton had 22 points and Mike Rosario came off the bench to add 11 for the Gators (3-1), who led by double digits for much of the night but never fully closed the door on the persistent Raiders (2-2) until the end.
Julius Mays led Wright State with a career-best 21 points, including a 3-pointer that trimmed Florida's lead to nine with 5 minutes to go. John Balwigaptdeskire had 15 points and freshman Reggie Arceneaux finished with 13.
No. 16 Marquette 59, Norfolk State 57
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Darius Johnson-Odom scored 20 points and Jae Crowder had a tiebreaking dunk with 1:09 left, leading No. 16 Marquette to a victory over Norfolk State in the Paradise Jam championship game.
The Golden Eagles (5-0) never trailed and Johnson-Odom was selected tournament MVP after he scored at least 20 points in each game.
Crowder sparked a 10-2 run for Marquette with consecutive 3-pointers. The surge lifted the Golden Eagles to a 47-33 lead with 11:40 left, but Norfolk State (3-2) would not go quietly. The Spartans countered with two separate 7-0 spurts and tied it at 57 on a 3 by Pendarvis Williams with 2:03 remaining.
No. 18 Vanderbilt 64, Oregon St. 62
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Brad Tinsley hit a 15-foot jumper with 4.5 seconds to play and No. 18 Vanderbilt beat Oregon State in the championship game of the TicketCity Legends Classic.
John Jenkins, the tournament MVP, finished with 14 points for the Commodores (4-1), who led by eight points with 10:10 to play. Jeffrey Taylor added 13 points and Tinsley had nine.
Devon Collier had 19 points for the Beavers (4-1), while Ahmad Starks added 16.
Vanderbilt, especially Taylor, did an outstanding defensive job on Jared Cunningham, who finished with nine points - two in the second half. The junior guard had scored 35 points against Hofstra and 37 in a semifinal win over Texas, but he just couldn't get open looks against Vanderbilt.
That included the game's final play, when Cunningham drove to the basket as time ran out but Taylor stayed with him and the ball didn't even hit the rim.
No. 20 California 70, Georgia 46
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Harper Kamp was perfect from the field and finished with 16 points, Jorge Gutierrez added 14 and No. 20 California cruised into the CBE Classic championship game with a rout of overmatched Georgia.
The Golden Bears (4-0), who have matched their best start under coach Mike Montgomery, will face No. 21 Missouri in a matchup of stellar backcourts in the title game Tuesday night.
Justin Cobbs added 10 points off the bench for California, which still hasn't been tested this season.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 10 to lead the Bulldogs (3-1), but he shot just 4 of 13 from the field and the team wound up shooting 33 percent - including 4 of 19 from beyond the 3-point line.
No. 24 Mississippi State 78, Louisiana-Monroe 63
STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Dee Bost scored 21 points, freshman Rodney Hood added a career-high 20 and No. 24 Mississippi State beat Louisiana-Monroe.
While Bost has been a productive starter for four seasons, Hood's emergence is a major reason why the Bulldogs are back in the national rankings for the first time in nearly two years. The 6-foot-8 guard from Meridian, Miss., has scored at least 10 points in five of the Bulldogs' first six games. He shot 9 of 13 from the field, including 2 of 4 from 3-point range and also added eight rebounds.
Brian Bryant added 17 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
The Bulldogs (5-1) struggled early against the winless Warhawks (0-5), trailing in the second half before DeVille Smith hit a 3-pointer with 13:55 remaining to give Mississippi State a 42-41 lead.
Fred Brown led ULM with 21 points.
