Mo. woman sentenced in 2 embezzlement cases

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A southwest Missouri woman has been sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for embezzling from two companies where she kept the books.

Forty-six-year-old Diana Erickson of Aurora was sentenced Friday for mail fraud and filing false tax returns. She embezzled about $219,606 from Superior Lifts while she worked at its Aurora office. She embezzled another $34,242 from Goolsby Rental Properties, which managed rental properties in the Wichita, Kan., area.

KY3-TV reports that prosecutors say Erickson deposited checks from customers in her personal bank account.
