For Carl Olson, public health goes environmental

A career change and moving from one community to another brought Carl Olson to Jefferson City 25 years ago. The move also brought him to apply for a job as a multi-county sanitarian.

And as business grew in each of the counties and job titles changed, each county named its own person to fill the role, and he was named the environmental public health specialist for Cole County Health Department.

While he is in and out of Cole County public facilities, he says has seen a variety of things — some believable, some not.
