Jefferson City's Board of Education on Monday will set the official candidate filing dates for anyone wanting to be a board member.
By state law, filing will begin Dec. 13 and end at 5 p.m. Jan. 17 - the day after the national Martin Luther King holiday.
The two board seats to be filled next April now are held by first-term incumbents Alan Mudd, the current board president, and Joy Sweeney, the current vice president.
Neither has said, yet, if they plan to seek re-election.
