When Jefferson City senior Conradette King began her cross country career four years ago, she didn’t exactly have lofty goals for herself.

King did more than that Saturday, as she ended her cross country career with a fourth-place finish and a time of 19:02 in the Class 4 Cross Country Championships at the Oak Hills Golf Center.

King, who didn’t start cross country until her freshman year of high school, helped lead the Lady Jays to a seventh-place finish after a 10th-place finish a year ago.
