An extra boost may be on the way for student athletes

The Big Ten may become the Big Payday soon.
Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany announced last week the conference will starting looking into providing its student-athletes scholarships that will cover cost-of-living expenses.
We’re not talking about paying them six- or even seven-figure salaries like professional athletes. We’re talking about giving them enough spending money to go out to dinner or maybe a movie with friends.
Think of it as a daily or weekly stipend for providing ....
