Dear Editor:
In all the back-and-forth over the pending legislation and various lawsuits concerning confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) I'm wondering why no one has pointed out the risk to Missouri tourism, certainly an industry as important as agriculture in Missouri.
If rural people, farmers mostly, are concerned enough about the smells from CAFOs to sue the factory farm companies, how will tourists feel?
How will Missouri feel when we lose the hundreds of millions of dollars that tourists bring into Missouri to spend here every year?
