Jays knock off Kirksville

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — The Jefferson City Jays broke open a close game with five runs in the top of sixth inning and knocked off Kirksville 7-2 Friday night.

The game was tied 1-1 before Jefferson City took a 7-1 lead with five runs in the sixth and one in the seventh. Kirksville scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to close out the scoring.
