LOS ANGELES (AP) - Carlos Zambrano went eight solid innings, and Chicago scored all of its runs on homers by Geovany Soto, Carlos Pena and Marlon Byrd in a 5-1 victory over Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Andre Ethier's 29-game hitting was put on hold when the Dodgers scratched their right fielder because of an inflamed left elbow.
Dodgers shortstop Juan Uribe left in the sixth inning with a bruised left hand, two innings after being hit by Zambrano.
Zambrano (4-1) allowed a run and five hits, struck out four and walked one.
Ted Lilly (2-3) was rocked for five runs and eight hits in six innings.

ATLANTA (AP) - Tim Hudson pitched a one-hitter, Nate McLouth homered to highlight a big day, and Atlanta ruined the Milwaukee debut of Zack Greinke to complete a doubleheader sweep.
Tommy Hanson pitched six strong innings in the opener and Martin Prado drove in three runs.
Hudson (4-2) retired his first nine hitters before Rickie Weeks led off the fourth with a double. He was the only Brewer to reach base, also drawing a two-out walk in the ninth. He posted his 12th career shutout and first complete-game win since May 2, 2008, against Cincinnati.
McLouth reached in all eight plate appearances over the two games, going 5 for 5 with three walks.
Greinke (0-1) struck out six and got little help from his defense. The Brewers committed two errors in the first inning, leading to an unearned run. He gave up four more runs that were earned, including McLouth's homer in a three-run fourth. In all, the right-hander surrendered five hits and walked one before he was lifted after four innings and 86 pitches.
The Braves stretched their winning streak to four, moving two games above .500 (17-15) for the first time since April 4. Milwaukee has lost a season-high five straight.
Reds 3, Astros 2
CINCINNATI (AP) - Jay Bruce's double completed Cincinnati's three-run rally off closer Brandon Lyon in the ninth inning.
Lyon (3-2) came on to try to finish off a one-hitter, but failed to retire any of the five batters he faced while blowing a save for the fourth time in eight chances.
Singles by Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips tied it. Bruce then pulled his double down the line.
Francisco Cordero (2-0) pitched the ninth for the win.
Lyon's meltdown spoiled an impressive starting debut by rookie Aneury Rodriguez, who allowed one hit and one walk over five innings.
Phillies 7, Nationals 4
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Vance Worley threw six sharp innings and Raul Ibanez homered and had three hits for Philadelphia.
Worley (2-0) allowed one run and four hits, striking out a career-high seven in his fourth start in the majors. Worley is filling in for the injured Joe Blanton.
The NL East-leading Phillies have won 10 of 13.
Jason Marquis (3-1) gave up 10 hits and six earned runs in five-plus innings in his worst start of the season. His ERA rose from 2.62 to 3.66. Marquis was seeking his 100th career win and was trying to go 4-0 for the first time.
Ibanez snapped an 0-for-35 slump with two doubles on Tuesday, and is now 5 for 7 since the skid.
Pirates 7, Padres 4
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Ryan Doumit's grand slam highlighted a six-run third inning and Kevin Correia beat his old team as Pittsburgh took two of three from San Diego.
The Pirates have won five road series, one more than they did last year. They have 11 road wins - last year they didn't get their 11th until June 28.
The Padres are a major league-worst 5-13 at home.
Correia (5-2) allowed two runs and five hits in six-plus innings, struck out three and walked two.
Pittsburgh benefited from two Padres errors in the third to score six unearned runs on just three hits against Clayton Richard (1-3).
Giants 2, Mets 0
NEW YORK (AP) - Tim Lincecum struck out 12 to surpass Christy Mathewson for most double-digit strikeout games in Giants history and Pat Burrell hit a tiebreaking single for San Francisco.
Lincecum (3-3) gave up five hits in seven innings, throwing 127 pitches for his most this season. He struck out his final five batters. Four relievers completed the six-hitter with Brian Wilson working a perfect ninth for his 10th save.
Mike Fontenot added an insurance run with an RBI single off Chris Capuano (2-3) in the seventh and Aubrey Huff had three more hits to lift his average over .200. The defending World Series champions won two straight for the first time since April 18-19 and have won just five of their last 13 games.
Marlins 8, Cardinals 7
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Florida's Mike Stanton hit a tiebreaking two-run drive in the ninth inning for his third homer in four games.
Gaby Sanchez had two hits and a bases-loaded walk for the Marlins, who survived blowing a four-run lead.
Leo Nunez gave up Jon Jay's second pinch-hit homer of the season in the ninth but earned his 11th save in 11 chances. Holliday had two hits and an RBI and leads the NL with a .413 average.
Emilio Bonifacio and Omar Infante had three hits apiece for Florida.
Eduardo Sanchez (1-1) gave up Stanton's fifth homer.
Mike Dunn (2-1) got the win.
Rockies 6, Diamondbacks 4
PHOENIX (AP) - Jhoulys Chacin pitched seven effective innings and Chris Iannetta hit a two-run homer for Colorado.
Chacin (4-2) yielded solo homers by pitcher Barry Enright and Kelly Johnson, but only one other hit. The 23-year-old right-hander, who had lost his last two starts, struck out six and walked four.
The Rockies jumped on Enright (1-3) for three runs in the fourth inning and three more in the fifth. Todd Helton doubled in two runs and Seth Smith had an RBI single. Ian Stewart, recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday, had a run-scoring double.
Arizona rallied in the ninth but Huston Street struck out Johnson with two on for his 11th save in 11 tries.
