Missouri’s newest congresswoman will hold a “Town Hall” meeting at noon today on the federal budget situation.
U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler, RHarrisonville, will meet with constituents until 1 p.m. at the Missouri Farm Bureau headquarters, 701 S. Country Club Dr.
“We’re moving forward with our promises and feel like we’ve made a lot of headway,” the freshman lawmaker said last week. “We’ve been able to rein in the runaway spending already, and we’re going to continue to do that.
“We’ve repealed ‘Obamacare’ but, unfortunately, in the Senate they haven’t accepted that.”
Congress still is debating a budget for the rest of the current federal business year, as well as for the 2011-12 business year that begins Oct. 1.
Hartzler’s meeting today will include a discussion of the issues facing the lawmakers as well as the thoughts and comments of those attending the session.

Hey Vicky when will the vet bashing begin? Will your runaway spending control be on the backs of our troops?
