Lady Jays to open soccer season vs. Camdenton

Normally a varsity soccer roster will list anywhere from 18-20 field players.

But this season, the Jefferson City Lady Jays will have just 16. Not due to talent, but to make sure all 16 have earned it.

“We decided to make sure players realize if they want to play on the varsity, they have to show what it takes to get on the team and stay there,” Lady Jays coach Matt Stacey said as Jefferson City got set for tonight’s season opener against Camdenton at the 179 Soccer Park.
