Jays, Lady Jays relying on youth this season

The Jefferson City Lady Jays spent the better part of the last decade hoisting team trophies.

From 2001-09, the Lady Jays captured five of their seven championships and finished in the top 10 in the team standings every year.

Last year was the exception.

For the first time since 2001, the Lady Jays failed to crack the top 10 at the state championships, finishing 26th with nine points.
