PITTSBURGH (AP) - Marian Gaborik and Ryan Callahan scored power play goals 11 seconds apart as part of a four-goal third period and the New York Rangers extended their winning streak to a season-high four games with a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
New York took advantage when Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke took a 5-minute elbowing penalty 4:36 into the third. After Chris Kunitz scored a short-handed goal for Pittsburgh, Penguins defenseman Matt Niskanen was given a high-sticking double-minor three minutes later.
Gaborik tied the game at 2 with eight seconds remaining in the 5-on-3 advantage. Cooke's penalty had just ended when Callahan scored the game-winner.
Henrik Lundqvist made 38 saves in his 17th consecutive start despite being questionable with a stiff neck. Derek Stepan scored with 1:15 left and Brandon Dubinsky added an empty-net goal to close out the scoring. Artem Anisimov scored in the first period for the Rangers, who have a three-point lead over eighth-place Buffalo in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Predators 4, Sabres 3. OT
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Nashville rookie Blake Geoffrion scored three goals, including two 1:02 apart in the final three minutes of regulation, and Martin Erat completed the comeback 27 seconds into overtime as the Predators stormed to a victory over Buffalo.
Ryan Suter set up the winning goal, sending a pass from the left circle to Erat, who scored into the open right side of the net. That gave the Predators their third road win in 11 games (3-6-2).
The Predators are 7-2-2 in their past 11 games and have moved into a fifth-place tie with Los Angeles in the tight Western Conference.
Tim Connolly, Nathan Gerbe and Tyler Ennis scored second-period goals for the eighth-place Sabres, three points ahead of ninth-place Carolina in the Eastern Conference.
Devils 3, Blue Jackets 0
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - David Clarkson scored twice and Martin Brodeur made 13 saves to earn his NHL-record 115th shutout as New Jersey snapped a two-game slide by beating Columbus.
Nick Palmieri also scored, and Mattias Tedenby added two assists for the Devils, who are trying to stay in the Eastern Conference playoff race. New Jersey is in 11th place, seven points behind eighth-place Buffalo and the postseason cutoff.
The Devils, who have 10 games left, were on a 23-3-2 tear before back-to-back losses to Ottawa and Washington this week damaged their already long shot playoff hopes.
Steve Mason stopped 28 shots for the Blue Jackets, 2-6-4 in their last 12 games.
Canadiens 8, Wild 1
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Rookie defenseman P.K. Subban scored three goals for his first NHL hat trick, and Montreal posted its biggest offensive outburst in more than three years in a rout of Minnesota.
With hundreds of loud Canadiens fans in attendance, Ryan White gave visiting Montreal the lead just 31 seconds in. That set the tone for the blowout. Montreal led 2-0 after the first period and 6-0 after 40 minutes.
Andrei Kostitsyn, James Wisniewski, Travis Moen and Tom Pyatt also scored for the Canadiens, who netted eight goals for the first time since January 2008. Montreal's Benoit Pouliot assisted on each of the first three goals against his former team.
Mikko Koivu scored a penalty-shot goal for the Wild with 7:46 remaining to end Alex Auld's shutout bid.
Ducks 5, Flames 4, OT
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Teemu Selanne scored on a power play with 2:01 left in regulation to offset a stunning four-goal rally by Calgary, and Corey Perry scored his second of the game 2:38 into overtime to give Anaheim a win.
Perry starred for the second straight day after scoring in overtime to beat the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. This one gave the Ducks their 13th consecutive home win over the Flames.
Dan Ellis squandered an early 3-0 lead and gave up a goal to captain Jarome Iginla that put Calgary ahead 4-3 with 12:50 left in the third period. Ellis redeemed himself by stopping Iginla on a breakaway 1:26 into overtime and finished with 37 saves.
Henrik Karlsson, who came in after Flames starter Miikka Kiprusoff gave up three goals on five shots in the first 6 minutes, stopped his first 23 shots before Selanne scored his 22nd goal.
Tom Kostopoulos had two goals, Rene Bourque also scored for Calgary and Curtis Glencross had two assists.
Ryan Getzlaf, Perry and defenseman Francois Beauchemin scored during a 4:31 span in the first period for the Ducks.
Blackhawks 2, Coyotes 1
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Chris Campoli scored a power-play with 6:34 remaining and Chicago beat Phoenix.
Campoli, acquired from Ottawa on Feb. 28, scored his first goal for Chicago.
Duncan Keith also scored for Chicago, who moved into sixth place in the Western Conference with 86 points. Los Angeles also has 86 points, but is ahead Belanger scored for the Coyotes, whose five-game winning streak was snapped. Phoenix, fourth in the West with 89 points, hadn't lost in regulation since March 3 (6-0-1).
