Missouri trooper hurt in chase

CANTON, Mo. (AP) — A state trooper is recovering after wrecking his patrol car during a weekend chase in northeast Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Trooper Zachary Harrison, of Canton, was injured Sunday. He was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

The patrol says Harrison was pursuing a vehicle when he lost control of his 2009 Ford Crown Victoria on an exit ramp on U.S. 61. The patrol car struck an embankment.
