ROLLA, Mo. - It took a few minutes for the Jefferson City Lady Jays to get their feet under them.
The West Plains Lady Zizzers jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first quarter and made it stand up Wednesday night as they defeated the Lady Jays 49-37 in a Class 5 sectional at Missouri S&T.
It was the 10th straight win for West Plains (22-7), who will face top-ranked Webb City (26-2) in the quarterfinals at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Missouri State in Springfield.
