ST. LOUIS (AP) - A radio station has filed a lawsuit against a Missouri senator, claiming the state lawmaker owes money for using its studio.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday that radio station WGNU-AM contends Sen. Robin Wright-Jones owes $3,623 plus interest. The lawsuit was filed June 16.
Wright-Jones, a Democrat from St. Louis, started a show on the radio station in 2009 that lasted until last year.
The station's hosts frequently are not paid directly and instead buy airtime in exchange for ad sales. Wright-Jones says she is surprised by the lawsuit because she said there have been payments on the account in recent months.
The lawsuit was filed days after Wright-Jones reached a settlement in a lawsuit stemming from her birthday party at the Four Seasons Hotel.
