KCI suffers second water main break in 2 days

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City water crews worked at Kansas City International Airport after two weekend water main breaks.

Joe McBride of the Kansas City Aviation Department told The Kansas City Star that the breaks Saturday and Sunday did not disrupt any flights. He said the breaks did force the airport to close restrooms and drinking fountains in one area of a terminal.

He said the break Sunday drained into a section of the terminal garage before the water was shut off. No cars were damaged.

The break Saturday was closer to the terminal and closed several lanes of traffic near the terminal for a while.
