Advocates: Half-cent sales tax is valuable tool for city

Jefferson City is preparing for its sixth installment of the half-cent capital improvement sales tax, which has funded several largescale projects over the years.
Some of the most recent projects include the new animal shelter and the Missouri 179 interchange for access to the new St. Mary’s Health Center complex, both of which had groundbreakings earlier this month.
