Former water patrol employee pleads guilty

A former employee of the Missouri State Water Patrol has pleaded guilty to taking funds from the patrol for her own personal use.

On Monday, Cole County Judge Dan Green placed Ruth Tiefenbrunn, 45, St. Joseph, on five years supervised probation and ordered her to pay restitution.

She was charged with one count of felony stealing.

According to court records, Tiefenbrunn took nearly $3,200 from the patrol between April 2008 and December 2009.
