Just minutes before the 30-plus juiced-up Crown Victorias and other old police vehicles lined up for a warm-up lap around the Lake Ozark Speedway, one law enforcement officer was fueling up himself to gear up for the Second Annual Battle of the Badges Race on Saturday in Eldon.

Holts Summit police Chief Kyle McIntyre happily finished his hamburger with his mighty crew of four by his side and his beauty, the vehicle he hoped to leap him from a fifth-place showing last year to a first-place showing this year.
