While Kansas City and St. Louis have seen numerous report of heat-related illness and some heat-related deaths, local medical officials are reporting not as many problems in the Jefferson City area.
Lindsay Huhman with Capital Region Medical Center said they haven't seen many people with heat-specific health problems come into their facility, but they have noticed an increase in those suffering health problems that are exacerbated by the heat.
"Things like increased blood pressure and dizziness are some of the things we've seen," she said.
