Traffic stop yields meth arrest

Osage County sheriff's deputies arrested Paul A. Malady after a traffic stop early Friday morning on U.S. 50 west of Linn.

According to sheriff's department reports, Malady was operating a 1989 Jeep Cherokee on a revoked driver's license.

During the search of the vehicle after his arrest, numerous precursors and components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were found.

Malady was also wanted on a felony warrant from Franklin County for assault.

Malady is currently in the Osage County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond from Franklin County and faces driving while revoked and attempt to manufacture methamphetamine charges in Osage County.
