Two Jefferson City teenagers are each charged with one count of first-degree burglary in connection with the break-in at a home over the Fourth of July weekend.
According to court documents, Alexander Hutson, 18, of 2204 Parks Edge Place, and Dillon Nida, 17, of 4150 S. Lenoir, were being held in the Cole County Jail on Tuesday.
A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows the two teens entered a garage through an unsecured door at a residence in the 2200 block of Tower Drive during the early morning hours of July 3.
The victim and his wife were asleep in the residence at the time of the incident.
