A domestic situation led Jefferson City police to close an intersection for nearly two hours Monday afternoon before the matter was peacefully resolved.

According to police reports, officers were called to The Mission, 915 E. High St., around 1:30 p.m.

An individual inside the business had called authorities, apparently distraught over a marital dispute, and would not come out.

Authorities would not give the name of the individual, only saying it was a 45-year-old male.
