Green Build gets green light

Courtney and Kevin Pigford, along with their 8-month-old daughter, Alyce, greet guests as they arrive for their River City Habitat for Humanity dedication ceremony at their new home.

In their Schott Road mobile home, Courtney and Kevin Pigford had little kitchen counter space, a tiny floor plan and a long way to travel for work and school.

Thanks to the community cooperation effort, the Green Build at 802 E. McCarty St. will be a healthy, spacious and permanent home for the Pigfords and their 8-month-old daughter, Alice.
