During a recent retirement ceremony, local veteran Ronald Klatt highlighted the influence his Vietnam-era military service had in regard to his professional development.

While working as a supply clerk with the U.S. Army in Germany, Klatt received his first introduction to data processing when he used a card requisitioning system the military had to track equipment.

"After my experience with the military in Europe, I developed an early interest in data processing," stated the veteran.

During a brief retirement ceremony held at the Central Mortgage Company's offices in Jefferson City, Klatt received the state of Missouri's Vietnam Veteran Award Recognition.
