Dear Editor:
Three months ago I made a couple of predictions that will come true on Monday.
The first is that the smoking ban will pass. Although I did everything I could to not have it pass it still did. There is nothing that any of us can do about that now.
I made the second prediction while watching the election results. A person from Smokefree JC was on the television saying that they would be out helping businesses transition to smoke free. At that time I said it would be surprising to see any help from them or the city.
To this day there has been none from either organization come by my business to offer help. Like all busi- nesses I did receive a sticker and a flyer from the city, but it arrived less than a week before the effective date.
All of us have the power to make sure these things don't happen again.
What is it going to take before we stop letting other people rule our lives?
