Dear Editor:
Tom Henke's selection to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame was well deserved.
During Tom's major league career he generated excitement and enthusiasm from his many fans in the regions in and around the major league cities in which he played.
But most importantly, he brought the community in and around Taos together like never before and made us all proud.
However, Tom's character goes beyond his athletic achievements.
Every intangible trait that is decent and noble within the human spirit epitomizes who Tom is and what he continues to exemplify for our community.
Congratulations, Tom, and thank you for all of your athletic ability and community service. You continue to be our beacon of light.
