Helias can get little going in loss to the Storm

On Notre Dame de Sion’s first possession Saturday afternoon, Sabrina Nowalik found herself wide-open as she hit a 10-footer to give the Storm the early lead against the Helias Lady Crusaders.

“I had told the girls to watch (Nowalik), she’s a shooter,” Helias coach Doug Light said.

Instead, two Helias players were teaming up on another Notre Dame de Sion player closer to the basket.

“You could tell right there we weren’t mentally ready,” Light said after the Lady Crusaders dropped a 48-32 decision at Rackers Fieldhouse.
