KC authorities investigate fatal hotel shootings

LIBERTY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City area authorities have been investigating a weekend hotel shooting that left three people dead.

The victims of the shooting Saturday in northern Kansas City were identified as 18-year-old Dejan Joksimovic, 18-year-old Armin Hamidovic, and 22-year-old Delfino Elizondo. Two of the victims were dead at the scene. Elizondo died later at a hospital.

Marcus Regan, Metro Squad spokesman, said it's unclear what led to the shootings at the hotel near Interstate 435. No arrest has been made.

Authorities said the party had been disruptive in nearby Independence then moved to the hotel in southern Clay County, where the shootings occurred.
