LOS ANGELES (AP) - Anze Kopitar had a goal and an assist, Jarret Stoll and defenseman Drew Doughty scored power-play goals, and the Los Angeles Kings held on to beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 on Saturday.
Defenseman Alec Martinez also scored for the Kings, 11-1-3 since Jan. 22 following a 2-10 stretch.
David Jones scored two goals 39 seconds apart during the third period for Colorado after the Kings staked goalie Jonathan Quick to a 4-0 lead on Stoll's goal with 14:03 to play.
The Avalanche had totaled only 14 shots before Kings defenseman Matt Greene was sent off for interference with 8:53 remaining. Jones scored his first goal on a power play, and the other came one second after a penalty expired.
Paul Stastny's 19th goal brought Colorado within 4-3 with 30 seconds left.
Stars 3, Predators 2
DALLAS (AP) - Loui Eriksson scored a go-ahead, power-play goal with 3:42 left to give Dallas a win and send Nashville to its fourth straight loss.
While Shea Weber served a boarding penalty, Eriksson set up in front of the net and redirected defenseman Alex Goligoski's shot past Pekka Rinne for his 21st goal.
Earlier in the third period, Goligoski scored his first goal since being acquired by the Stars from Pittsburgh on Monday.
Tom Wandell added a goal, and Kari Lehtonen made 25 saves for the Stars, who snapped their season-worst, five-game losing streak Thursday at Detroit. Dallas has won two straight for the first time since Jan. 17-20.
Colin Wilson and Ryan Suter scored, David Legwand had two assists, and Rinne stopped 22 shots for the Predators, who had been shut out in their previous two games.
Red Wings 3, Sabres 2, SO
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Jiri Hudler tied it with 58 seconds remaining and Pavel Datsyuk also scored in regulation, then both had goals in the shootout to lift Detroit over Buffalo.
Detroit backup goalie Joey MacDonald, who stopped 30 shots, made saves on Drew Stafford and Thomas Vanek in the shootout to give the Red Wings their fifth straight road win.
Hudler's goal with time running out completed Detroit's comeback from a 2-0 deficit.
Andrej Sekera and Mike Grier scored for Buffalo, which failed in its bid to win a third straight game for new owner Terry Pegula. Ryan Miller made 35 saves.
Detroit's Mike Modano played in his first game after missing 41 games with a slashed wrist, and Valtteri Filppula returned after an eight-game absence because of a knee injury.
Canadiens 4, Hurricanes 3
MONTREAL (AP) - Andrei Kostitsyn scored on Montreal's first power play with 3:53 left to give the Canadiens a win over Carolina.
Tomas Plekanec scored in the second period to reach 20 goals for a fifth straight season. Michael Cammalleri and Lars Eller scored in the first, and Alex Auld made 28 saves for Montreal.
Cory Stillman scored midway through the second in his second game with the Hurricanes to tie it at 3. Jussi Jokinen and Tuomo Ruutu added goals, and Cam Ward made 23 saves for Carolina.
Carolina captain Eric Staal didn't make the trip to Montreal because of an undisclosed upper body injury sustained Friday.
Penguins 6, Maple Leafs 5, SO
TORONTO (AP) - Alex Kovalev is already making the most of his return to Pittsburgh, scoring the only goal of the shootout after netting one in regulation in his new team's win over Toronto.
Kovalev starred in his second game back with the Penguins after being acquired from Ottawa on Thursday.
Mark Letestu, Dustin Jeffrey, Max Talbot and Mike Rupp also scored in regulation for Pittsburgh.
Joffrey Lupul had two goals, and Colby Armstrong, Clarke MacArthur and Dion Phaneuf also scored for the Maple Leafs, 8-2-3 since the All-Star break. Toronto closed within five points of eighth-place Carolina in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Senators 4, Flyers 1
OTTAWA (AP) - Erik Condra netted his first two NHL goals, and Chris Phillips also scored in what could be his final game with Ottawa in a win against Philadelphia.
Nick Foligno scored the other goal for the Senators, and Ryan Shannon added two assists. Craig Anderson made 30 saves for his third win in four starts since the Senators (21-32-9) acquired him from the Colorado Avalanche last week.
Scott Hartnell had the only goal for Eastern Conference-leading Philadelphia (40-16-6), which got 25 saves from Brian Boucher but lost for the second time in three games.
Capitals 3, Islanders 2
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) - Alexander Semin snapped a tie 5:41 into the third period, and Michal Neuvirth made 29 saves for Washington, which rallied to beat the New York Islanders.
Semin gave the Capitals a 3-2 lead when he wristed a shot past Al Montoya. Semin has 22 goals, two behind Alex Ovechkin - who assisted on the tally - for the team lead.
Brooks Laich and Mike Knuble also scored for the Capitals, who trailed 2-1 entering the third period after losing 6-0 at home to the New York Rangers on Friday night.
Washington is 10-0-3 in its past 13 meetings with the Islanders, including six straight wins on Long Island.
Kyle Okposo and Travis Hamonic scored and Montoya made 19 saves for the Islanders, who lost their third straight despite leading 2-0.
Bruins 3, Canucks 1
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Milan Lucic scored the go-ahead goal on a rebound with 4:38 left and Patrice Bergeron added an insurance marker into an empty net for the Bruins.
Lucic, who is from Vancouver and was honored by the local junior team Friday, snapped his team-leading 27th goal into an empty net after Roberto Luongo lost sight of the puck when Dennis Seidenberg's point shot deflected in front.
Nathan Horton also scored and Tim Thomas made 26 saves for Boston, which has won the first four games of a six-game.
Manny Malhotra scored and Luongo finished with 22 saves as Vancouver continued to alternate wins and losses for a 10th straight game.
